Judith Liechty, Business Office Manager

I came to Brentwood at Hobart in the fall of 2012 and brought with me over 20 years of experience in business and accounting. I have a Bachelor’s degree from Western Michigan University and have worked for large corporate offices and small private businesses. The last seven years were spent working at another Assisted Living Community. I love the interactions I have with our residents and am blessed every day to be a part of their lives.

When I’m not working, I enjoy my four wonderful children and all of their sporting and musical events. I also like to read, garden, and walk the dunes of Lake Michigan. I consider every day to be a gift and hope that I am able to impact and encourage everyone I encounter at Brentwood at Hobart.

Meriam Hillis, Director of Wellness

Meriam started working with Brentwood at Hobart as a licensed floor nurse assisting residents with daily activities and improving quality of life. She is a graduate of Ivy Tech College where she obtained her vast knowledge of health care services. Now the Director of Wellness, she is excited about the opportunity to provide and monitor the health services of Brentwood. She hopes in her role to help residents maintain overall wellness while enjoying moments of joy.

Meriam is married to her best friend, Steve, with whom she has two children. Her children Ashley (21) and Jenny (16) keep her motivated and happy. She is excited to announce that she is a new grandmother of a baby girl named Jayde.

Zanetta Miller, Director of Sales and Marketing

In her role as Sales & Marketing Director for Brentwood at Hobart, Zanetta is utilizing her wealth of knowledge in the Communication field to help families find the care their relatives deserve. Zanetta has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Master of Arts in General Communication. In previous roles, she has worked in marketing, public relations, news, and also as an adjunct college instructor. She enjoys working with the senior population at Brentwood at Hobart and hopes to continue to help seniors live life with joy, independency, and wellness.

She has a ten-year-old daughter, Zaniya, with whom she enjoys shopping and reading.

Mary Bennett, Director of Dining Services

Mary joined the Brentwood team in April of 2016 when she moved back home to Chesterton from Los Angeles, California. She says, “I’m excited to be part of Brentwood team. My residents and team mates have become my family. I’m honored to work in their home and be part of their life. There is no better way to bring people together than with FOOD! I truly love my position here.”

Prior to serving here at Brentwood, Mary has worked in every aspect of dining from Director of Catering in the hospitality industry to Director of Food & Nutrition at hospitals and universities. Mary had the great good fortune of studying with Chef Wolfgang Puck and the late innovative Chicago Chef, Charlie Trotter. “I love working with food. I’ve met some wonderful people. I really enjoy Senior Dining because it feels like cooking for family!”
